Job Introduction:

Role Responsibility:

The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for the development, management, and profitability of all assigned Client Accounts.  Responsibilities include working in a team environment to develop responses to strategic sales opportunities, maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of security issues in vertical market(s) through participation in industry associations, and monitoring legislative changes potentially impacting the company’s sales strategies and efforts.  This position coordinates the day-to-day administration of the Contracts and specialized reporting functions to ensure quality customer relations to meet defined service levels, creates reports that are generated, analyzed, and provided as needed per client contract and G4S Secure Solutions Canada policies, and communicates with client representatives and branch offices regularly to facilitate these activities.

Specific Tasks or Responsibilities (by priority):

  • Personnel Leadership; provide supervision to Project Managers (e.g., oversee customer relations, ensure Physical Security Surveys and post orders are updated regularly)
  • Implement standard security operations at each customer facility, and ensure compliance through quarterly visits
  • Project Leadership and deligation; implement standard security operations at each client facility, and ensure compliance through quarterly visits
  • Work closely with client and other vendor to ensure consistent and coordinated service delivery at all responsible locations
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met; quality assurance and contract compliance

The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration (equivalent area of study), or work experience relevant to the position

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience managing a security contract or corporate security account in a multi-location environment or simular.
  • Expertise in a broad range of security areas of concern to include personnel security, risk assessment methodology, physical security, investigations
  • Ability to conceptualize, communicate, plan, promote/influence, implement and manage program initiatives and improvement plans. 
  • Ability to identify and develop Promoters and Power Promoter relationships to affect growth and retention opportunities within tlhe assigned portfolio
  • Must be able to assess the security risks and have knowledge and experience in implementing a protection strategy to include awareness and training.
  • Ability to advise sites and facilities on incident management plan development and maintenance to include training. 
  • Must possess a high level of tact and business acumen, and demonstrates ability to lead effectively amidst paradox and ambiguity in a matrix organization
  • Must understand and be able to apply a budgeting/allocation process

  • Prior strategic account management experience.
  • Experience in development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security services including but not limited to manned security services, systems and technology, risk and compliance.
