Job Introduction:

This position description assumes that the individual has satisfied all basic requirements for employment by G4S Secure Solutions (Canada) Ltd., including, but not limited to: security licence validation and criminal police information check as applicable (CPIC), credit reference(if applicable), background check, minimum age, and minimum education (high school diploma or foreign equivalency, or earned GED).  Additionally, this job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.  The individual in this position is required to follow any other instructions and perform any other duties requested by this position’s management.

Role Responsibility:

Within the limits of company policies and established procedures, communicates with all G4S staff assigned to client locations, and with the approval of the client Account Executive, sets up regular quality checks for all sites, establishes regular communications with client personnel, responds to security incidents, ensures new coverage is commenced effectively. Additionally, will ensure compliance by the guards with regards to post order and policy adherence. Occasional support to other departments may be required on an as needed basis

To ensure that operational goals are met or exceeded through effective oversight and regular quality control activities.

SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain day-to-day communications with G4S staff assigned to client sites
  • Supervisory oversight of the day to day guard operations
  • Perform quality control checks of guards on duty
  • Meet and greet client (or designates) for customer service
  • Respond to security related incidents at guarded locations to provide supervisory support for the on-duty guard for incident management and report generation
  • Provide necessary information to  operations (Account Executive) on a regular basis, develop and maintain a healthy relationship
  • Attend new service locations to assess and mentor the assigned guard (Post Orders, uniform/deportment, positioning while on duty)
  • Monitors & reports compliance to post orders by branch and escalates non -compliance to senior management as required
  • Report all issues & findings to the Account Team for weekly and monthly reporting
  • As required, generate reports to support customer dashboards
  • Track all quality control visits and liaise with Operations Team for guard performance & training requirements

Physical Requirements and Environment: Environment: Varies, Office, Shopping Concourse, Interior and Exterior Patrols, Mechanical Areas and Parking facilities


The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years work-related experience in an operational role, preferably in the Security Industry
  • Good verbal and written communications skills

Skills Required:

  • Efficiency in oral and written communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior customer service orientation
  • Understanding of Secure Trax application
  • Analytical skills to identify areas of improvement and develop/maintain policies and programs, create reports
  • Proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Full G class drivers licence
  • Knowledge of relevant security and employment legislation
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize several tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and strict deadlines
  • Prepare and produce reports and statistical analyses to the Account Executive
  • Promotes health & safety in the workplace
  • Proven track record in realizing operational efficiencies
