Job Introduction:

Role Responsibility:

Reporting to the COO, the Project Manager oversees the overall planning, implementation, and tracking of specific projects ensuring consistency with Company strategy, commitments, and goals.

This position defines the project charter, phase deliverables, tracks milestones and schedules roles and resources, tests training and implementation plans, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans. The Project Manager is responsible for quality assurance, resolution of issues and compliance with all policies and procedures for project management and infrastructure administration and for ensuring project goals are achieved on time and within budget.

Major responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of business technology and upgrades in consultation with senior management and stakeholders.
  •  Facilitate the definition of project scope, timelines, goals and deliverables.
  • Manage timelines and scope, assess and mitigate risks, and break down complex projects into identifiable work streams.
  • Define project tasks and estimate resource requirements and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise contingency plan.s
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders on the status of projects .
  • Develop, maintain and monitor project budgets to ensure there are no cost or resource overruns.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relations with project team, business sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project team members to identify business requirements and ensure team members are aware of risks and issues that might impact current and future projects and systems.
  • Develop and deliver training programs in relation to the IT system implementation or upgrades.
  • Coordinate with consultants and vendors involved in the project, monitoring their performance.

 


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, experience and skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ direct experience in managing projects in various industries and environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Project Management Certification or working towards a PMP designation
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies in theory and in practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business and political acumen
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and risk management
  • Superior problem solving skills and the ability to constructively handle unexpected problems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions given the information available
  • Proven ability to influence and motivate people to accomplish project objectives
  • Ability to act with a sense of urgency
  • Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills.
