Role Responsibility:

Key Objectives:

This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with G4S’ various vendors and internal customers. In this role you will liaise with IT and Property vendors as needed to maintain and enhance their relationships with G4S.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Manage G4S’ cell phones and related mobility products:
    • Purchasing and managing cell phones, pagers, circuits, phone lines, and faxes nationally
    • Billing, analysis, provisioning change recommendations, and project manage changes to same
    • Maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for telecom systems administration and use
    • Manage G4S’ monthly telecommunications billing to ensure prompt payment to suppliers
    • Track and report on monthly telecom expenses
  • Ordering of and payment for G4S’ IT Equipment:
    • Co-ordinate IT purchases nationally for equipment such as hardware, software, cabling
    • Prepare capital expenditure requests and process PO payments for all IT expenditures
    • Track purchase orders for all equipment ordered through IT department
    • Ensure invoices for IT purchases are coded correctly and submitted to AP for processing
    • Ordering common office equipment such as printers, scanners, et cetera for all of G4S
  • Research and recommend telecomm provisioning changes as new technologies emerge
  • Manage small to mid-sized telecommunications projects as assigned
  • Coordinate the purchase, repair and maintenance of national telecommunications equipment
  • Administer and maintain contracts related to telecommunications equipment
  • Maintain national property lease database and ensure monthly recurring rent charges are accurately processed
  • Administer and maintain all contracts for printers and related office equipment nationally


The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ​Knowledge of G4S’ Head Office internal financial and administration processes is an asset
  • Knowledge of and past working experience with G4S’ key vendors is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in ordering and invoicing
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Vendor management
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of staff
  • Excellent computer skills – IE. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to efficiently accomplish tasks and meet objectives.
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork: willingness to work with others in achieving corporate goals.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to participate in departmental activities and accept other work
  • Demonstrates diplomacy and self-confidence in working with internal staff and external suppliers
  • Project management experience an asset
  • Ability to conduct research into telecommunications issues and products as required
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
