Job Introduction:


This position description assumes that the individual has satisfied all basic requirements for employment by G4S Secure Solutions (Canada) Inc., including, but not limited to: criminal police information check (CPIC) credit reference, background check, minimum age, and minimum education (high school diploma or foreign equivalency, or earned GED).  Additionally, this job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.  The individual in this position is required to follow any other instructions and perform any other duties requested by this position’s management.

Role Responsibility:

This position is responsible to support the operational and administrative needs of the branch including Screening and uniforming of billable staff. This role ensures that staff are appropriately entered into their assessment programs and that all employee files are accurately filed. 

Specific duties performed and essential functions: (but not limited to)

  • Photocopying and making new hire packages on a weekly basis for the BAP classes and presenting the new hire packages to the class ensuring they sign all the appropriate pages and ensuring all ID’s and documentation are collected.
  • Meet with new hires to collect their information regarding their 5 year history and prepare offer letters for the new hires and ensure all paperwork is accurate in the files
  • Enter new hires into C&I and keep track of when they were entered, following up with C&I on completed files. After completion, appropriate filing of employee files
  • Work closely with both Commercial and Residential recruiters and with Commercial Area Managers
  • Filing of current and terminated employee files


  • Back up reception for lunch breaks and any other times determined by Branch/General Manager


  • Issue uniforms to the new hires for both Commercial and Residential
  • Keep inventory of all uniform stock
  • Order uniforms on a monthly basis and keep the amount within budget
  • Exchange uniforms to existing guards – Commercial and Residential
  • Keep track of uniforms that were issued and the costs
  • Prepare uniforms weekly for dry cleaning

The Ideal Candidate:

Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications Required:

  • Completion of a College Diploma
  • Minimum one year work-related experience in an office environment.

Skills Required: 

  • Completion of a College Diploma (Business or Human Resources Preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Other Related Attributes That Would Enhance Hiring Consideration:

  • Bilingualism, French /English would be an asset.
  • Professional recruitment certification or equivalent is an asset.
  • Prior security-related management experience in a national environment.
  • Experience supervising in a unionized workforce is an asset
  • Previous experience implementing and managing an Applicant Tracking System.
